The Cavoodle is a mix between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Poodle. Both parent breeds have a gentle nature that is carried over in the Cavoodle. The Cavalier brings its laid-back approach to life and the Poodle, its intelligence and loyalty. They take the best from each breed and are often adorable, intelligent, friendly and gentle.

They are lively and affectionate companions who enjoy spending time with their humans. They love to get involved in all activities. They make great pets for children and are good watchdogs, often barking at new people but are so friendly they’ll be licking the new person in no time at all.

Cavoodles don’t like to be away from their family and can suffer from separation anxiety. They live for around 12-15 years.

They have bundles of energy and suit an active household. They enjoy socialising with other dogs and playing fetch. Daily walks will keep your Cavoodle happy and healthy. They’re small dogs and are hypoallergenic.

Cavoodles shed no hair but need to be brushed weekly. Regular trimming and professional grooming are also required. They are prone to tartar build up and need their ears checked and cleaned regularly.

Scheduled six monthly health check visits with your vet are important to ensure that your dog is healthy and happy throughout all life stages. Cavoodles are prone to dislocating knee caps, skin diseases, cataracts and epilepsy.
